My Approach

As a licensed therapist, I serve a diverse range of clients and find fulfillment in working with young adults and adults. My expertise lies in addressing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, addiction, boundary setting, and self-care. With over a decade of experience in the mental health field, I am deeply committed to my profession. I volunteer for multiple local non-profit organizations, including the CT Chapter of Postpartum Support International. My passion is in advocating for mental health awareness and offering education to reduce the stigma associated with mental health disorders.

The Right Fit?

To be honest, I'm a bit quirky and enjoy being myself, both professionally and personally. I've worked really hard to be the person I am today and staying true to this is the greatest gift I can give myself.  I believe life is too short to always be serious. Don't get me wrong, I understand when to be serious, but I also recognize the moments to step back and say, "Hey, you're doing great, even if it feels like you're constantly facing setbacks."

My ideal client is someone who is open to feedback and eager to try new approaches or suggestions. This flexibility is key to making real progress in our sessions. I like to keep our sessions conversational. This relaxed, dialogue-based style helps me get to know you better and spot any patterns as we go. It also creates a comfortable space where you can talk about even the toughest topics. I aim to keep things informal so you feel at comfortable being yourself.

I'm straightforward with my feedback, ensuring you get clear and honest insights. I also like to use humor to lighten the mood and make our sessions more enjoyable. Our conversations will feel natural, allowing us to connect on a deeper level.

I'll provide constructive feedback and encourage you to try new strategies for your challenges. Together, we'll work towards your goals and explore new perspectives to help you better understand yourself and your experiences.

Therapy Settings

I offer both in-person and virtual sessions, and my priority is making sure you feel comfortable. Some people prefer face-to-face sessions, while others are just as comfortable meeting virtually.

If we meet in person, you might catch me crocheting—it helps me stay present and engaged. If we meet virtually, I may also be crocheting...I also ask that you keep your camera on. This allows me to ensure you're in a safe, confidential space and helps me read body cues just as I would in person.

And if our session falls during your lunch break, feel free to eat while we chat—nourishment is fuel for the soul!

My Career

I’ve been working in the field since 2013, right after graduating from grad school, and I've had the opportunity to gain experience in a variety of therapeutic settings. I've worked with court-mandated individuals in an agency setting, spent time in several group private practices, and even explored private practice ownership along the way.

Through these experiences, I discovered that being my own boss is where I thrive—both professionally and personally. It allows me to show up fully for my clients while also creating the balance that works best for my family and my passions.

So, this is where I’ll stay! 🙂
